This project is a part of the Election'66 Project for the occasion of the Thailand General Election 2023. Its aim is to visualize the relationship between politicians and their businesses, which has raised questions from the public about potential misuse of political positions for personal gain. The project invites people to explore the data and keep a watchful eye on these connections.
During the design process, I decided to prioritize the mobile version to ensure easy accessibility. Despite the complexity of the underlying data, I aimed for a simple and user-friendly interface, utilizing bar charts for easy comparison and interactivity. The initial draft included a bubble chart to represent individual connections, but it proved to be less user-friendly. As a result, I decided to focus on visualizing connections between politicians and businesses on separate pages. The project's key visuals and illustrations were designed by Namsai Supavong.
Implementing the networking visual proved to be more challenging for the developer than anticipated. As a result, the final version may not exactly match the original vision, but we have found the best possible solution.
